Investment in new submarine cables is allowing WIOCC to further extend its seamless regional and international services to up to 12 additional countries along Africa’s western and northern seaboards.
WIOCC is the largest shareholder in EASSy, a 4.72Tbps submarine fibre cable interconnecting 9 countries along Africa’s eastern seaboard. WIOCC has also made strategic investments in EIG and WACS and owns capacity on other systems. This enables it to offer carriers high levels of redundancy and deliver the promise of reliable, high-speed connectivity all around Africa. WIOCC delivers a comprehensive east + west coast diversity proposition that addresses customer demands between Africa and Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America.
